Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure new and existing powertrain control systems meet production throughput, safety, and quality requirements.
  • •Design and develop continuous improvement projects, including equipment control standards and specifications for internal and external teams.
  • •Architect, write, debug, and maintain PLC ladder logic and integrate it with conveyors, robots, MES, LabView, machine vision, and third-party equipment.
  • •Implement ANSI/RI A15.06/OSHA compliant safety systems for safeguarding manufacturing equipment and develop HMI screens for complex machinery.
  • •Create test plans for vendor and Lucid installations, debug/optimize automated processes, build machine-to-MES communications, and train maintenance/production teams.

Key Requirements

  • •0–2+ years of experience in an automation engineering role in the automotive industry.
  • •Proficiency with process integration and electromechanical/mechatronic systems.
  • •In-depth knowledge of safety standards (ANSI/ RIA15.06, OSHA).
  • •Advanced proficiency programming industrial equipment, including PLC ladder logic and safety PLCs.
  • •Experience with HMI development (Ignition is required) and industrial communications (Ethernet/IP, RS-232).
