Job Summary

Partner with operations to analyze the manufacturing process, eliminate hazards, and support daily safety and environmental requirements. Provide OSHA/EPA guidance, coaching, and hazard identification using the Near Miss Potential Hazard program, then drive corrective and preventative actions. Perform inspections, sampling, and testing for quality control across materials, maintain safety records, and support permit application preparation and ongoing compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Identify hazards using the Oldcastle Near Miss Potential Hazard program and assist employees in correcting hazards and establishing safe practices.
•Work with operations and management to develop corrective and preventative actions to eliminate hazards and track progress through incident investigations.
•Use accepted methods to inspect, sample, and test aggregates, asphalt, concrete, or other materials for quality control.
•Operate production machinery as needed to prepare product samples and sample/test mixtures for compliance with contract specifications.
•Maintain safety records, prepare safety reports, and support permit application preparation and permit compliance while entering safety data into Oldcastle’s software.
