Job Summary

Drive a truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer to supply ready-mixed concrete to job sites. Load and unload materials, operate the mixer and chute to place concrete, and perform required equipment checks. Keep the truck clean and properly protected, maintain accurate paperwork, follow all DOT rules, and provide occasional assistance to customers with placing and spreading concrete. Home daily with steady local work and overtime availability.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive the truck to load sand, gravel, concrete, and water under the loading hopper and start the mixer.
•Drive to job sites and unload ready-mixed concrete by releasing it through the truck chute into a conveying container or area to be poured.
•Clean and spray the truck with protective compound after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening and adhering.
•Assemble the ready-mix concrete chute as required and inspect equipment (tires, lights, brakes, and fluid levels).
•Follow DOT rules, keep paperwork in order, drive safely and courteously, and periodically assist customers with placing/spreading concrete.

Key Requirements

•Must possess a valid “Class B” CDL license and be able to pass a DOT physical and substance test.
•High school diploma or equivalent.

•Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively with customers or employees.
•Ability to meet physical demands, including regularly lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
