Provide short-term, non-medical counseling to service members and their families (adult, CYB) in military installations and DoD-associated settings, supporting On Demand Events, surges, and summer programs. Deliver brief therapy, training, and resource linkage with minimal supervision, and adapt to varying locations and schedules across bases and schools.

Job Function: Legal, Risk & Compliance

Key Responsibilities

•Provide non-medical, short-term counseling directly to adults, children, and youth of service members with assessment, brief counseling, action planning, and follow-up as indicated.
•Support CYB counselors by focusing on school-based settings, DoDEA schools, youth programs, and summer camps.
•Deliver training and health and wellness presentations, participate in health fairs and base activities.
•Enter counselor activity data daily via mobile app or web application, ensuring confidentiality and accurate reporting.
•Build rapport with service members and families, adapt to varying base environments, and coordinate with installation POCs to meet program needs.

Key Requirements

•Licensed at the independent level in any state as a Mental Health Counselor, Therapist, or Social Worker
•Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health related field, or social work
•Current licensure meeting state requirements to practice independently
•Must be fluent in English and able to prove US Citizenship
•Ability to accept assignments on short notice, including weekends and varying lengths
