Job Summary

Evaluate sustainability and climate risks and opportunities across real estate investments to strengthen long-term portfolio resilience and value creation. Lead the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives, frameworks, and performance metrics, and partner with operating, legal, compliance, and public policy teams to standardize reporting. Prepare analytical findings and recommendations for senior management and investment committees, manage sustainability programs and budgets across asset classes, and monitor evolving climate policy and regulatory developments.

Key Responsibilities

•Evaluate sustainability and climate-related risks and opportunities tied to existing and potential investments to enhance portfolio resilience and value creation.
•Assess financial and operational implications of environmental factors, including capex needed for portfolio companies to comply with sustainability and climate regulations.
•Develop and present strategic recommendations to senior management on climate risk integration, investment risk mitigation, and sustainability priorities aligned to business objectives.
•Collaborate across centralized operating, legal, compliance, and public policy teams to implement firmwide operational standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
•Lead sustainability initiatives and manage sustainability programs across multiple asset classes, including tracking performance against defined goals, overseeing budgets and resource allocation, and coordinating implementation with portfolio companies and external consultants.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 260,000 - 300,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Sustainability/Science, Biology, or a related field, plus 6 years of relevant experience (or Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years).
•Experience preparing and presenting analytical findings and strategic recommendations to senior management to inform investment, risk management, and sustainability strategies.
•Experience evaluating sustainability and climate-related risks and opportunities and developing sustainability frameworks to identify, assess, and monitor environmental and climate risks across portfolios and transactions.
•Experience conducting financial and operational analyses to connect sustainability initiatives with measurable financial outcomes for real estate portfolios, including assessing compliance-related capital expenditures and operating costs.
•Experience preparing and presenting sustainability and climate-related analyses and reports to cross-divisional teams, including use of Microsoft PowerPoint and tracking KPI progress against strategic goals.
