Job Summary

Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-horizon roadmap for Higher Education and K-12 within Unit4’s ERP platform. Lead a prioritized backlog with dedicated engineering capacity, translate deep sector knowledge into investment-backed requirements, and define industry blueprints, templates, and reference configurations. Partner with horizontal product teams, engage with strategic customers and the HE Industry Board, ensure regulatory/accessibility and provincial requirements are reflected, and track adoption and customer impact post-launch.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the Higher Education and K-12 product vision, strategy, and multi-horizon roadmap aligned to platform strategy and commercial growth targets.
•Lead and manage a prioritized product backlog with dedicated engineering capacity, defining outcomes, success metrics, release plans, and quality criteria.
•Translate sector knowledge into investment-backed product requirements, including problem statements, opportunity sizing, and build-vs-partner decisions.
•Define industry-specific solution blueprints, reference configurations, and pre-built templates for HE and K-12 institutions.
•Ensure regulatory/accessibility/research-compliance and provincial requirements are reflected in the roadmap, monitor competition, and track feature outcomes and adoption after launch.

Key Requirements

•Experience in product management for enterprise SaaS platforms, with shipped products used by higher education finance, research, or school board teams.
•Deep working knowledge of higher education finance including research grant accounting and fund/restricted-fund accounting, full economic costing, endowments, and tuition revenue models.
•Working knowledge of K-12 funding and governance, including provincial ministry funding formulas, trustee governance, board reporting, and collective agreement administration.
•Understanding of the student lifecycle interfaces (financial aid, tuition management, integration with student information systems) and what they require from the ERP layer.
•Commercial and communication strength: translate industry needs into scalable solutions, understand ARR/win rate/customer retention, and communicate at senior finance and academic leadership levels.
