Key Responsibilities

  • •Grind and polish metal and weld appropriate parts together using spot welding equipment based on specifications.
  • •Run samples and check product quality against prints; recognize robot error recovery needs and perform adjustments to weld fixtures to maintain quality standards.
  • •Read and interpret work orders, load corresponding robot programs, and perform log test/first-article inspection.
  • •Perform daily/weekly minor preventive maintenance and change/maintain welding tips as necessary for manual and robot spot welding.
  • •Complete 5S and continuous improvement tasks on the TPM board, fill out daily activity reports, and enter time recording in SAP; support training for other associates.

Key Requirements

  • •Manual spot-welding experience
  • •High school diploma or GED
  • •Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools
  • •Ability to lift 50 lbs alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs with assistance occasionally
  • •Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours per shift, as needed
