Key Responsibilities

  • •Generate and manage construction cost estimates, valuation of engineering work, and budgets across all scopes.
  • •Lead development of schematic cost model estimates using historic benchmarking and industry experience.
  • •Review tender documentation to identify ambiguities, risks, and key issues for the tender team.
  • •Prepare consistent tendering data (man hours, equipment, subcontractors, material costs) and perform cost reconciliation with variance drivers.
  • •Support site inspections, client coordination on scope changes/clarifications, training and coaching of the estimating team, and assistance to the Estimation Manager on quantity take-offs.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years working experience, including 5 years relevant estimating experience (2 years GCC experience is a plus).
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
  • •Experience in cost estimating packages such as CCS (Candy) is preferred.
  • •Extensive knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and QS-related software, plus web search/internet research.
  • •ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills, plus understanding of construction systems and estimating/rate calculations.
