Job Summary

Support customers in Big Data projects as an Azure Data Engineer, bridging Data Science and Data Engineering. Partner with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases and data needs, then deliver end-to-end data acquisition, transformations, cleansing, and loading into data lakes for analytics and machine learning. Work in a cloud-native environment, contribute to proofs of concept, and help monitor distributed infrastructure using Azure and open-source tooling.

Key Responsibilities

•Support customers in Big Data projects by working with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs, and outcome objectives.
•Deliver data acquisition, transformations, improvement, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading into data lakes for analytics and machine learning models.
•Build proofs of concept using appropriate data sources and technologies to address specific business needs.
•Monitor distributed infrastructure using Azure tools or open-source tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
•Help migrate workloads from on-premise environments to cloud environments.

Key Requirements

•Experience in a cloud-native environment across major public clouds (GCP/AWS/Azure), with 5 years of Azure experience preferred.
•Experience and knowledge of Big Data architectures, including cloud and on-premise environments.
•Azure infrastructure and networking working experience.
•Ability to build and deliver proofs of concept to address business needs using appropriate techniques, data sources, and technologies.
•Working experience migrating workloads from on premise to cloud environments.
