Location: Sydney
Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: DevOps, Cloud & Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

  • •Set the standard for how the estate is run, kept reliable and accredited across cloud, orchestration, operating systems, networking and the application toolchain, and maintain consistency across rotations.
  • •Be the source of design others build and run from, operating at platform scale and anticipating second-order effects and organisational constraints.
  • •Diagnose systemic reliability issues to the structural fix across multiple classification domains rather than applying quick patches.
  • •Set the team’s automation standard with safe, maintainable code and deliberate choices around safety and idempotency.

Key Requirements

  • •Around twelve or more years in infrastructure, reliability or platform engineering, with experience weighted toward practical impact over formal qualifications.
  • •Proven track record running production toolchains and classified-domain infrastructure end to end, able to set and raise a team’s reliability standard.
  • •Authoritative across both cloud-native (AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes) and classified on-premises (Windows, Active Directory, VMware, air-gapped) estates.
  • •Real ISM/PSPF accreditation ownership and significant influence over how an estate is run.
  • •Exemplary scripting and automation judgement with the ability to set and uphold an automation standard across a team.
