Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and drive overall performance of direct reports through leadership and development, including hiring and developing the management team and first-level supervisors.
  • •Drive health and safety initiatives and ensure division compliance with government policies.
  • •Implement and maintain inventory control policies and procedures, including auditing receiving and stocking, ensuring cycle counts and count-back execution, and maintaining FIFO/product rotation standards.
  • •Identify operational issues (e.g., wrong product in slots, high shrink, receiving/lift errors) and provide action steps to DC management to correct variances.
  • •Oversee release of products to vendors, other distribution centers, and corporate locations, ensuring inventory accuracy, correct paperwork, timely OS&D processing, and training for inventory control staff.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of distribution experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role within a medium to large distribution center.
  • •Bachelor's degree with emphasis on industrial engineering, logistics, distribution, or related areas.
  • •Demonstrated communication skills, including excellent verbal and written communication and active listening.
  • •Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures, including audit/accuracy expectations.
  • •Intermediate PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook; ability to learn warehouse systems such as SAP, WCS, Red Prairie, TranMan, and Laser Print.
