Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, mentor, and develop a regional team of cost accountants and analysts supporting specific products and production sites.
  • •Ensure standard costing methodology is applied consistently and compliantly, including reconciliation review and balance sheet transactions.
  • •Oversee standard costing practices, variance analysis, margin reporting, and portions of the cost accounting close process (cost roll-ups, absorption, inventory/WIP reconciliations).
  • •Design, implement, and maintain internal controls; identify and remediate control deficiencies as needed, supporting annual external audits.
  • •Administer physical and cycle count programs across sites and partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to analyze manufacturing performance, cost drivers, and efficiency opportunities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
  • •5-7 years of progressive cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
  • •Proven standard costing experience in complex, low-volume, high-dollar manufacturing environments.
  • •Strong knowledge of U.S. government contracting cost principles (FAR/CAS).
  • •Experience designing and maintaining internal controls and supporting external audits.
