Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and evolve the architecture of an Electron desktop platform, including process boundaries, native capabilities, application interfaces, security controls, and runtime configuration.
  • •Design, prototype, implement, and review complex functionality across Electron, Chromium, Node.js, TypeScript, and Windows APIs.
  • •Guide engineers through technical decisions, mentoring, and engineering standards; review complex changes and raise engineering quality.
  • •Partner with product, platform, quality, release, security, and graphics teams to drive platform adoption and operational readiness, including release gates and observability.
  • •Own secure communication patterns and stable shared interfaces between Autodesk web applications and privileged desktop functionality, including evaluating and upgrading Electron/Chromium releases.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • •8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • •Strong JavaScript or TypeScript and Node.js experience.
  • •Experience designing and delivering complex software systems or platform capabilities, including Electron/Chromium-based desktop applications.
  • •Ability to lead technical design and implementation across multiple engineers and debug complex problems through production delivery.
