Job Summary

Join the Customer Reliability Engineering team to become an Apache Airflow expert, providing hands-on Airflow guidance to customers while learning across software engineering disciplines (Airflow, data engineering, Kubernetes, cloud engineering). You’ll own the customer experience, troubleshoot complex Airflow issues, contribute to side projects, and collaborate with a distributed team to maintain mission-critical Airflow deployments for enterprise customers.

Job Function: Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

Key Responsibilities

•Learn and build expertise across several software engineering disciplines, including Airflow and data engineering, Kubernetes, and Cloud Engineering.
•Solve challenging Airflow problems for customers, from configuration optimization to identifying Airflow bugs.
•Contribute to side projects (up to 20% of time) such as open-source Airflow contributions or internal monitoring/alerting systems built on Airflow.
•Own the customer experience by prioritizing and solving issues, meeting SLAs, and providing white-glove guidance on production paths.
•Work remotely within a fully distributed team and participate in on-call rotation for weekend coverage.

Key Requirements

•Data Engineering background
•4 years of experience with Python
•1 year of experience in Airflow administration and DAG creation
•Experience with Kubernetes/Docker/Containers
•Experience working with a distributed system with any major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)
