Job Summary

Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and associated infrastructure, including substation, collection, and transmission systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, perform repairs and replacements per OEM requirements, and carry out preventive maintenance using maintenance manuals. Complete environmental health and safety requirements, conduct QA/QC and data collection/reporting, and support retrofits and commissioning walk-downs as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and associated infrastructure (substation, collection, transmission systems).
•Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems across variable pitch/speed control systems following manufacturer requirements.
•Perform preventive maintenance per OEM maintenance manuals and ensure compliance with environmental health and safety programs.
•Collect data and prepare reports to meet wind plant reporting requirements; perform QA/QC functions and compile supporting documentation.
•Conduct retrofits and design modifications; support construction during mechanical/commissioning walk-downs when applicable.

Travel: Medium travel

Salary: USD 31.25 - 45.5 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED, plus one year of college/technical school or 12 months of related experience or wind industry training (or equivalent combination).
•Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment (e.g., voltage testers, amp clamps, oscilloscopes, megohmmeters, infrared testers, hydraulic torque tools).
•Advanced computer skills using word processing, spreadsheets, email, facility control, and reporting/diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.
•Ability to climb towers up to 100 meters daily and lift up to 60 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.
•Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
