Key Responsibilities

  • •Assume the role of Sector Commander/Bronze Commander for 24/7 Rescue & Firefighting Services (RFFS).
  • •Lead/manage the crew for firefighting, rescue, and other duties for structural and/or aviation incidents.
  • •Direct vehicle positioning, deployment of crew and equipment, and tasks in response to emergency incidents.
  • •Coordinate radio communications with other emergency services vehicles and manage communications with the control tower and fire control room.
  • •Supervise vehicle replenishment, daily operational serviceability/equipment checks, and report vehicle/equipment status and defects to the Watch Manager.

Key Requirements

  • •5-10 years’ experience in fire/rescue services, including 3 years in a supervisory position at an ICAO Category six airfield or above.
  • •Must be a FVEY national and passport holder.
  • •Certified competent in role and qualified to a minimum of 111607 Structural Fire Controller.
  • •Incident Command experience (Essential) and First Aid/Basic Life Support certification (Essential).
  • •Twelve (12) years formal education.
