Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the financial leader for the affiliate or line of business and assist the CFO with developing action plans for profitable growth.
  • •Prepare and analyze the annual profit plan and rolling forecasts, and evaluate business performance with recommendations for improvements.
  • •Develop metrics and perform variance analysis with CFOs; create and publish graphic metrics and discussion documents to communicate business results and status.
  • •Oversee planning and the direction of departmental projects, including monitoring progress and results to improve procedures.
  • •Provide guidance and training to less experienced analysts, allocate and review work, and support recruiting and talent development activities.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 10 years of accounting or finance related experience, with strong financial planning experience.
  • •College degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • •Previous experience in multiple Fifth Third lines of business, ALCO, corporate finance or related experience.
  • •CPA required/expected: CPA is preferred (CPA, MBA preferred).
  • •Proficiency in spreadsheet applications such as Excel and Microsoft Word, and ability to learn various computer systems.
