Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver the full range of personal financial counseling services to service members and families at assigned military installations.
  • •Provide education and counseling via one-on-one sessions, consultations, and briefings/presentations, including referral resources outside counseling sessions.
  • •Coordinate and publicize personal financial management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle and respond to requests for age-appropriate sessions.
  • •Work with installation and military branch points of contact to ensure the program stays within scope and meets installation needs.
  • •Manage duty to warn, participate in supervision/in-services/training and share trends and issues from assigned installations.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider an associate degree plus 4 years’ experience, or a high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience, in lieu of a bachelor’s.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual English and Spanish may be required by the contract.
  • •Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the OCI process.
  • •Must have one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
