Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and evolve the reliability posture of the ModernFi network (observability, incident response, SLOs, and on-call practices)
  • •Lead the buildout of an advanced release pipeline with merge queues, feature-flag tooling, and per-domain release gates across environments
  • •Take ownership of the cloud platform, Pulumi modules, AWS account structure, identity, networking, and tooling built by engineers
  • •Drive security and compliance posture (Vanta remediation, SOC 1/2 readiness, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, hardening)
  • •Upgrade on-call: tooling, runbooks, rotations, postmortems, and participate in on-call rotation

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of software engineering experience with infrastructure, platform, or reliability-focused work in a production environment
  • •Deep fluency with cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS) and infrastructure-as-code (Pulumi, Terraform, or similar)
  • •Security-minded development with familiarity with SOC 2 and compliance tooling (Vanta) and concepts like secrets management and least-privilege access
  • •Hands-on experience with modern observability stacks (Datadog, Prometheus + Grafana, Elastic) and setting SLOs/run postmortems
  • •Comfortable owning systems end-to-end from IaC to runbooks
