Job Summary

Support faculty and students in Computer Information Science by maintaining college laboratories and workshops. Install, demonstrate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment and facilities, set up labs for experiments, and run preventative maintenance with proper logs. Provide teaching assistance during laboratory sessions and help develop and maintain teaching materials. May assemble and configure equipment (servers, workstations, routers, switches), coordinate supplies and inventory, and recommend improvements to lab operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain college laboratories and workshops for faculty and students by installing, demonstrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment and facilities.
•Set up labs in preparation for experiments and provide hands-on support during laboratory sessions.
•Maintain preventative maintenance schedules, equipment manuals, and maintenance logs for equipment and parts.
•Support lab operations by tracking borrowed equipment/tools and controlling consumable materials and inventory.
•Provide teaching assistance and help develop and maintain teaching materials, and support student projects as required.

Key Requirements

•A Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a relevant discipline is required.
•A Master's Degree in a relevant discipline is desirable.
•At least 3 years of progressive hands-on experience in hardware and software support is preferred.
•Practical experience with PC and OS support troubleshooting and implementation is expected.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with people at all levels, is required.
