Key Responsibilities

•Own platform and infrastructure system design, including topology, scaling/blast-radius boundaries, build/deploy graph, database ownership boundaries, and cost ceilings.
•Build guardrail engineering: validation gates, idempotency checks, drift detectors, and runbooks that prevent damage by humans or agents.
•Serve as the escalation tier for novel failures and write the initial runbooks for agent-handled remediation.
•Own reliability, capacity, and cost targets via load testing, Karpenter/HPA tuning, database sizing, SLOs, and alerting.
•Lead incidents and capture fixes as new runbooks plus regression tests, keeping agent-fleet runbooks and context in sync with reality.

•Fluency with data systems under load, including Postgres, a columnar store, and log/streaming buses.
•Comfort working alongside AI agents to write guardrails, runbooks, and checks for safe automation.
