Key Responsibilities

  • •Under direction of a leader/supervisor, follow assembly drawings/specifications and computer information systems to prepare parts and build subassemblies, modules, and accessories for new gas turbine engines.
  • •Perform mechanical work to overhaul engines, modules, and related components using overhaul and repair procedures/specifications.
  • •Obtain parts, check conformance to assembly requirements, and fit and measure components to ensure dimensions meet specified limits.
  • •Use mechanic’s hand tools, holding fixtures, and specialized assembly equipment to build engine sections and maintain equipment and tooling.
  • •Provide support for test operations and assist with testing schedules; also support retrofit projects and changes in specifications.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent plus formal training in a specialized field achieving an A&P license or equivalent, or 4 years of technical high school including technical post–high school certification.
