Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide non-medical, short-term solution-focused counseling and consultation to adults, children, and youth, including assessment, brief counseling, action planning, referrals, and follow-up.
  • •Support CDCs, DoDEA and community schools, youth programs, and summer camps, including parent training and guidance for CYB positions.
  • •Deliver training and health and wellness presentations and participate in health fairs and other base activities.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily through a smart phone or web application while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity.
  • •Coordinate with installation and military Points of Contact and regional supervision for substitute/on-call services, including handling duty-to-warn and restricted reporting per DoD protocol.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree from an accredited program in a mental health related field or social work.
  • •Current independently licensed clinician status (e.g., LPC) meeting state and/or customer-specific requirements.
  • •Advanced knowledge of brief therapy and solution-focused counseling methods.
  • •Must be able to prove US citizenship and be fluent in English.
  • •With short notice, accept weekend and on-demand assignments of varying length.
