Job Summary

Support real-time authorization operations for Visa systems, including VIP/VisaNet (TPF-based) and OVN (Open VisaNet). As part of the Authorization Operations team, you’ll provide first-level response by monitoring multi-datacenter/multi-processing console activity, escalating and coordinating incident resolution with L2/L3 support and development groups. You’ll also document procedures, track and resolve incidents/changes/problems via the service management system, and maintain 24x7x365 essential coverage while developing technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor Authorization TPF and OVN computer consoles and provide first-level response to mitigate or eliminate issues affecting authorization systems.
•Operate Visa Authorization systems in a multi-datacenter and multi-processing environment.
•Enter precise console inputs to resolve issues under direction of relevant support teams.
•Track, update, and resolve assigned incidents, changes, and problem tickets in the service management system, maintaining high-quality documentation.
•Liaise with L2/L3 support and/or development groups to collaborate on resolution of incidents, changes, and problems.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience or a Bachelor’s degree.
•Hands-on experience supporting critical applications using IBM TPF (or equivalent real-time operating systems) or open-source distributed systems on Linux, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
•Experience with one or more of Linux, Unix, MVS, VM, SuperVision, HMC, ServiceNow, CoPilot, ChatGPT, Kubernetes, Kafka, Opera, DB2, ClickHouse/Splunk, or Cassandra.
•Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and incident management skills.
•Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize in a changing workload.
