Job Summary

Support and optimize the legal department’s core operations with a focus on legal matter management and e-billing. You’ll administer TeamConnect, manage the full e-billing lifecycle, resolve billing and data issues across TeamConnect and SAP, and serve as the SME for end-user support. The role also includes building dashboards and KPIs to track legal spend, matter volume, and cycle times, and coordinating with attorneys, finance, IT, procurement, and outside counsel to improve efficiency and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

•Administer and optimize legal matter management and e-billing in TeamConnect, including configuration, workflows, user access, and data integrity.
•Manage the full e-billing lifecycle, including invoice submission, review, approval routing, appeals, and payment processing.
•Monitor weekly invoice postings from TeamConnect to SAP and resolve currency and other data issues across TeamConnect, Collaborati, and SAP.
•Build and maintain dashboards and reports for legal spending, matter volume, cycle times, and operational KPIs, including variance analysis against budget.
•Serve as SME and primary end-user contact, troubleshooting system issues and coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders on upgrades, integrations, and billing processes.

Key Requirements

•3–5 years of experience in legal operations, legal technology, or a related function within a corporate legal department, finance organization, or law firm.
•3-5 years of experience with legal finance and billing processes, including accounts payable/accounts receivable (AP/AR) and related finance systems/tools.
•2-3 years of hands-on experience administering and serving as SME for at least one matter management or e-billing platform (e.g., TeamConnect, Legal Tracker, Brightflag, CounselLink).
•Working knowledge of outside counsel billing guidelines and industry standards (e.g., LEDES formats; UTBMS task/activity codes).
•Demonstrated ability developing reports, dashboards, and KPIs for legal leadership decision-making.
