Job Summary

Lead systems technical development for software products in the Open Platforms Applications Software organization, working in an agile team (about 6–10) to capture and translate requirements for large complex systems. Own requirements modeling using SysML, support system-level software integration and testing, and identify technical risks. Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams, mentor engineers, build prototypes/demonstrations, and may serve as system lead for integration, verification, and validation.

•Serve as a lead systems engineer to capture, analyze, decompose, model, translate, and create requirements for large complex systems, and may lead system integration.
•Mentor the team in the development of functional, interface, and performance specifications for hardware and software implementation.
•Identify and document architecturally significant requirements and technical risk areas.
•Apply SysML concepts for system modeling across a full engineering lifecycle.
•May serve as system lead in integration, verification and validation for large complex systems.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years of experience.
•Experience in software integration and testing at the system level.
•Agile systems engineering experience.
•Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools such as Magic Draw CAMEO, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect.
•Experience in writing requirements specifications.
