Job Summary

Provide advanced engineering support for network security controls, with primary ownership of Web Application Firewalls (WAF), API security gateways, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure web proxy solutions. You’ll perform root-cause analysis, execute production/DR change coordination, monitor platform performance and tuning, and improve security monitoring via automation and SIEM integrations. Partner with infrastructure, application, cloud, and security teams to design secure architectures and support incident response.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide advanced engineering support for network security solutions, including WAF, API security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure web gateways/proxies.
•Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
•Participate in planning, coordination, and execution of production and DR changes (policy/rule changes, upgrades, patches, and configuration changes).
•Monitor capacity, performance, and health of network security platforms; recommend and implement tuning and optimization.
•Integrate WAF/firewall/IDS-IPS/proxy events with SIEM and support incident response and technical documentation (architecture diagrams, troubleshooting guides).

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
•10–15 years of hands-on network security engineering experience with responsibility for WAF, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and proxy solutions.
•Strong experience with enterprise WAF capabilities (e.g., bot protection, rate limiting, virtual patching).
•Experience with API security solutions (e.g., API gateways and authentication/authorization controls).
•Experience with scripting/automation for operations (e.g., Python, PowerShell, bash) and strong troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
