Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete a two-year apprenticeship programme to become a qualified aeronautical engineer and then transition to permanent employment
  • •Gain hands-on experience across engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) including disassembly, inspection, assembly, and engine testing
  • •Advance knowledge in repair methods, maintenance planning, release to service, and quality and compliance
  • •Work in a rotating fortnightly shift schedule (Mon–Fri 7:00am–3:30pm and Sun–Thu 3:45pm–12:15am)
  • •Achieve the New Zealand Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering (Applied Skills) strand Powerplant – Level 4 and specialize in V2500 engine MRO processes
