Job Summary

Enable and debug AMD Infinity Fabric silicon for one or more products, ensuring performance and power efficiencies with an emphasis on time-to-market. Partner with architecture, micro-architecture, performance, DV, post-silicon product, platform, validation, and diagnostic teams to define routing configurations, test requirements, and stressing plans. Develop debug experiments and scalable debug tools, deliver correct firmware/software/configuration settings, and support power/performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with Infinity Fabric architects, micro-architects, performance and DV teams to define routing configurations, finalize settings, and formulate silicon test requirements.
•Partner with post-silicon product, platform, validation, and diagnostic development teams to describe and ensure stressing of new or important design features.
•Collaborate with firmware/software/modeling teams to deliver initialization/configuration settings and ensure their correctness.
•Develop debug experiments, tests, and triggers to root-cause functional, performance, and power observations related to Infinity Fabric IP in post-silicon.
•Contribute to scalable debug tools and help drive Design-For-Debug requirements for future designs.

Key Requirements

•Strong background in computer architecture/microarchitecture, including interrupts, memory ordering, MMU, caches, and coherency concepts.
•Good understanding of VLSI logic design concepts and power/performance tradeoffs.
•Good programming skills in Python, C, Ruby, or Perl.
•Familiarity with hardware description languages like Verilog or VHDL.
•BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
