Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain healthy operation of pretreatment equipment and manage wastewater processing treatment strategy (chemical/biological)
  • •Identify and evaluate alternate chemical treatments, aeration strategies, and lagoon operating parameters to ensure lowest cost treatment
  • •Ensure compliant, effective, and economical wastewater treatment while managing DAF efficiency and personnel
  • •Lead development of wastewater treatment and department budgets, and oversee wastewater improvement projects consistent with plant and corporate objectives
  • •Assist with implementation and continuance of the facility’s Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001 and support environmental sustainability initiatives, while managing labor practices of direct reports

Key Requirements

  • •Maintain readiness for production work, including climbing ladders and lifting, and using hand/power tools and shop machines
  • •Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings, including OEM equipment drawings and sketches
  • •Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures and general mathematics ability to perform the job
  • •Must be able to perform plumbing and minor electrical repairs, including equipment and pump repairs
  • •Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends) and in extreme heat and/or below-freezing temperatures
