Job Summary

Perform structural analyses for aerospace components using hand calculations and finite element analysis, including static and fatigue evaluations. Define and document repair designs for metallic and composite structures, partner with Materials Review Board to develop repair instructions, and produce engineering reports for repairs. Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Manufacturing to reduce costs and defects, and develop tools and automated workflows to improve Engineering Production Support efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform structural analyses for aerospace components using hand and computer calculations, including static and fatigue analysis.
•Define, assess, and document repair designs for metallic, bonded metallic, and advanced composite aerospace structures.
•Work with Materials Review Board (MRB) to develop standard repair instructions and analyze repair proposals.
•Prepare formal engineering reports supporting minor and major repairs for internal and external customers.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost reduction opportunities, support corrective action, and improve Engineering Production Support workflows with tools and automation.

Key Requirements

•Degree in STEM and minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
•Experience performing static stress and fatigue analysis using classical methods and finite element analysis.
•Experience with load paths, free body diagrams, load balance, and common failure modes.
•Experience using Patran (or comparable finite element analysis tools).
•Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
