Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise clients on cost strategies, manage vendor prequalification, review proposals and bid leveling documents, and chair bid interviews.
  • •Develop and review project estimates (construction, fees, direct work, and other costs), present estimates and value engineering recommendations, and assess risks with benchmarking data.
  • •Establish cost reporting schedules, review and present cost reports and forecasts, maintain a commercial risk register, and host periodic meetings with clients, project teams, and vendors.
  • •Manage cost control by reviewing payment applications, recommending contractor entitlements, handling change orders and contractual disputes using dispute procedures.
  • •Oversee invoicing, final accounting and post-contract audits, conduct post-contract reviews for lessons learned, and develop handover procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • •Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in cost management within the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium or large construction projects, ideally including MEP-intensive environments.
  • •Strong communication skills and good knowledge of construction industry technical matters (procurement routes, value management, value engineering).
