Job Summary

Senior Accountant at DataCamp will own key parts of the month-end close, driving faster, more accurate reporting and supporting audits. You will collaborate with accounting, FP&A, IT, People, and legal to implement process improvements, ensure US GAAP compliance, and support multi-entity, multi-currency consolidations in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations with superior attention to detail.
•Partner with Accounts Payable teams to ensure the accuracy of information recorded in the financial statements as it relates to expense recognition, accruals, sales tax, prepaid expenses, fixed assets & intangible assets, and lease accounting.
•Proactively review GL transaction details throughout the month to streamline month-end close timelines, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of information recorded.
•Prepare timely and accurate information to support financial audits, monthly close packages, and quarterly financial review packages.
•Assist in identifying opportunities for accounting process efficiencies.

Key Requirements

•Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA is preferred.
•Has a minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience in a fast-paced environment, SAAS industry preferred.
•Must have a strong knowledge of US GAAP.
•Has multi-entity experience with multi-currency international consolidations. Has strong systems expertise; Netsuite experience is a plus and experience with Tipalti, Ramp, Avalara is desirable.
•Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
