Job Summary

Lead the Leveraged Finance – Execution platform, owning strategy, deal execution, underwriting, risk management, and reporting for sponsor-backed and corporate debt financings. Oversee time-sensitive due diligence and credit approval workflows for complex transactions, serve as senior escalation and player/coach, and manage client onboarding and negotiation of credit agreements. Partner across Syndicated & Leveraged Finance, Financial Sponsors Coverage, Credit, and product teams to deliver competitive solutions and drive fee growth while protecting the Bank’s credit risk.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage the Leveraged Finance – Execution platform, including setting policy/strategy, overseeing workflow, and developing/mentoring team members.
•Oversee execution of financial sponsor and leveraged financing transactions, managing time-critical due diligence and underwriting for large, sophisticated clients.
•Serve as senior escalation point and player/coach on complex or high-profile transactions, balancing risk and return to enhance economics.
•Oversee deal screening, credit approvals, client onboarding, negotiation of credit agreements and legal documentation, and support loan syndication/distribution as needed.
•Partner with Syndicated & Leveraged Finance, Financial Sponsor Coverage, CSG Banking, Middle Market Banking, Credit, and product groups to deliver financing solutions, drive fee growth, and manage market/credit risk.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 225,000 - 300,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Minimum 15 years of experience in Leveraged Finance, including leveraged finance market understanding, time-sensitive deal execution, financial analysis, risk identification/mitigation, and legal/regulatory knowledge for leveraged and sponsor lending.
•Demonstrated team leadership experience managing high-performing teams, with a collaborative approach across lines of business and product groups to deliver solutions.
•Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or CFA preferred.
•Series 7, 63 and/or 79 registered.
•Ability to support strategy and policy setting, mentor team members, and lead complex/high-profile transactions balancing risk and return.
