Job Summary

HSE Engineer responsible for developing site-specific health, safety, and environmental plans, conducting daily inspections and risk assessments in oil & gas/industrial construction, enforcing PTW for hot work and confined spaces, delivering HSE inductions and toolbox talks, and leading incident investigations to drive corrective actions and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and implement comprehensive site-specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) plans aligned with project objectives.
•Conduct daily site inspections, rigorous hazard identification, and risk assessments for high-risk activities, particularly in oil and gas environments.
•Manage and enforce a strict Permit-to-Work (PTW) system for hot work, confined space entry, and heavy lifting operations.
•Lead and facilitate daily toolbox talks (TBT) and deliver comprehensive HSE induction training to onsite staff and subcontractors.
•Lead incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective/preventive actions.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
•Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in HSE, with a proven track record in the oil and gas or major industrial construction sector.
•Recognized international safety certifications (NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or equivalent) are mandatory.
•Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to influence safety culture onsite.
•Ability to manage and train a multi-disciplinary team of workers and subcontractors.
