Job Summary

Maintain and troubleshoot field instrumentation and critical control equipment in a mining/process plant. Perform corrective and preventive maintenance, calibrations, configuration, and functional testing for pressure, temperature, level, and flow instruments, including valves and actuators. Diagnose control system faults using electrical plans and P&ID, work with DCS/PLC integrations (HART, Profibus PA/DP), document work orders, and follow industrial safety standards while supporting more complex interventions when needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on field instruments to meet operational priorities and established plans.
•Perform calibrations, instrument configurations, and functional tests for pressure, temperature, level, and flow sensors using simulators and field communicators.
•Install, connect, and verify instrument loops (transmitters, valves, piping) while meeting quality, safety, and documentation standards.
•Autonomously respond to common instrumentation system faults using documented technical solutions and operating best practices.
•Diagnose control system faults in connections/signals using electrical plans, P&ID diagrams, and established procedures; escalate or consult specialists when outside scope.

Key Requirements

•2–4 years of experience performing corrective maintenance, calibration, and instrument configuration in industrial process plants.
•Competence using field communicators and 4–20 mA simulators plus calibration/configuration tools for pressure, temperature, level, and flow instruments.
•Experience diagnosing instrumentation/control faults and performing wiring work in electrical control systems.
•Knowledge configuring, testing, and maintaining control valves and on-off valves (positioners, actuators, sensors) and performing functional tests.
•Technical training in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or equivalent vocational/technical qualification) and ability to work independently while following mining safety procedures.
