Job Summary

Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes in the machine shop, performing drilling, tapping, milling, boring, and related operations to close tolerances. Evaluate tool wear, adjust offsets, and load/unload parts while checking product specifications and handling nonconforming items. Maintain production documentation, comply with ISO9001/ISO14001/OHSAS18001 and 5S+1/LEAN, and follow safety programs using required PPE and trained lifting practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Set up, run, and alter CNC mills and lathes to perform drilling, tapping, milling, boring, and other machine operations.
•Evaluate tool wear, make offsets, and load/unload parts in the machine.
•Check product specs, handle nonconforming products, and complete production documentation.
•Comply with ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS18001; follow 5S+1, keep the work area organized, and participate in continuous improvement/LEAN.
•Perform secondary operations, deliver completed parts, conduct light maintenance, and follow safety programs using PPE and properly trained lifting devices.

Key Requirements

•High school graduate (trade school experience is a plus).
•Minimum 2 years of CNC machine operating experience (CNC programming is a plus).
•Ability to understand machining procedures and read blueprints and set-up sheets.
•Knowledge of hand tools and shop math (compound angles, trigonometry).
•Familiarity with Fanuc controls, including feeds, speeds, G codes, and M codes.
