Key Responsibilities

•Analyze engineering software and/or firmware in accordance with MIL-STD-882E, JSSSEH, AOP-52, and other relevant standards.
•Work with software development teams to review and analyze embedded software code; collaborate with program management and government authorities to gain concurrence with software builds.
•Assist with Software and/or Firmware analyses and participate in the execution of the Software System Safety Program.
•Interface with stakeholders including customers, program offices, subcontractors, and vendors; assist with Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Program Briefs.
•Collaborate across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and design; prepare internal and customer reports describing analyses relevant to the System Safety program.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
•Experience with System Safety Engineering, System Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, or Safety Engineering experience in Aerospace, Automotive or Medical Device.
•Active DoD clearance is preferred; the role requires U.S. citizenship for security clearance eligibility.
•Knowledge of MIL-STD-882E, MIL-STD-1472, and DO-178 (DoD/system safety programs) and the ability to implement safety analyses within Agile environments.
•Ability to work onsite in Tewksbury, MA and interface with customers, program offices, subcontractors, and vendors.
