Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage retail or further processing production lines/departments to meet production schedules, improve efficiency, and achieve budget objectives.
  • •Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics and ensure schedules are met.
  • •Ensure daily reporting is accurately completed and recorded (departmental reports, attendance/staffing, yields, etc.).
  • •Identify and communicate process optimization opportunities and help reduce/eliminate repeat deficiencies.
  • •Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain a food-safe, sanitary environment and follow USDA requirements; mentor, coach, train, and administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions fairly and consistently.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree with relevant coursework preferred.
  • •1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing setting; 3+ years’ experience in food manufacturing or poultry industry preferred.
  • •1+ years’ leadership experience, including timekeeping knowledge, policy adherence, conflict resolution, and efficient issue resolution.
  • •Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP, and HACCP.
  • •Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) with internal/external customers; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
