Key Responsibilities

  • •Set the technical direction and delivery of design, integration and end-to-end advisory services across tunnel systems for new build, refurbishment and upgrades
  • •Shape projects from the earliest concept stages with safety by design and operations-focused thinking
  • •Engage with a diverse client base including Local Authorities, National Highways, major airports and National Grid to deliver tunnel systems projects
  • •Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions and foster a supportive, innovative culture
  • •Develop emerging talent and influence WSP’s tunnel systems capability by building a high-performing technical team

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in a relevant engineering discipline (such as Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering)
  • •Professional registration (CEng) is preferred; mentoring and advisory support available for chartership
  • •Proven capability in the design, operation, delivery or assurance of complex engineering systems (electrical, mechanical, technology, fire life safety, communications or control systems) with tunnel systems experience welcome but not essential
  • •Strong problem-solving ability and a systems thinking mindset
  • •Collaborative approach with experience partnering across internal teams and external stakeholders, building relationships on technically integrated projects
