Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with the Editor-in-chief to create and commission agenda-setting features and scoops to a world-class standard.
  • •Oversee Tatler’s Features team, including leading Features meetings and managing daily content output, deadlines, and the features budget.
  • •Commission agenda-setting stories for both print and digital and ensure high-quality editing, proofreading, headlines, and standfirsts.
  • •Work closely with the wider team to deliver coverlines and develop creative coverage ideas for key events across social and video.
  • •Establish and leverage relationships and a network of writers and journalists, including mentoring the Features team.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience as a senior editor in a global media business or on a national title, with experience running a features team.
  • •Excellent writing and copy-editing skills with a sharp eye for detail, delivering edited copy to a high standard under tight deadlines.
  • •Strong knowledge of the Tatler world and who’s who, plus a nose for news and the ability to generate original ideas and angles across platforms.
  • •Excellent people-management, delegation, communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • •A strong contacts book of writers and journalists to commission for features, with discipline enforcing deadlines.
