Key Responsibilities

  • •Accurately locate and mark transmission & distribution systems, service lines, and other facilities.
  • •Read and interpret system maps and work with crews and outside contractors for any needed re-marking.
  • •Investigate natural gas facility damages to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • •Maintain accurate company maps and records, and complete records/reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements.
  • •Identify, address, and report safety and encroachment issues; safely operate and inspect assigned vehicles and equipment while supporting standby and emergency call-outs as required.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED plus two years of experience in natural gas, damage prevention, service, construction and maintenance, and/or pipeline operations.
  • •Obtain and maintain required Operator Qualifications (OQs) and classroom training/certifications within six months, and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • •Strong communication skills to communicate, persuade, and influence internal and external customers with strong interpersonal skills.
  • •Ability to use company internet/intranet systems and perform digital photo capture/upload and data entry, reference, and retrieval tasks.
  • •Must pass pre- and post-employment screenings for this safety-sensitive role, including DOT/PHMSA-related drug testing and MVR background checks.
