Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and grow a profitable book of excess commercial property and casualty business by driving broker relationships and soliciting target accounts.
  • •Use advanced trend analytics and pricing recommendations to manage new business pipeline and renewals based on account analysis and industry trends.
  • •Meet profitability, account retention, and written premium goals determined by the Director of Underwriting.
  • •Make independent underwriting decisions based on established underwriting guidelines and company policies.
  • •Develop and adjust policy structure to manage client needs, risk/exposures, and company financial performance while complying with regulations and company policies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelors Degree in insurance, finance, economics or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • •Ten or more years of commercial underwriting and/or marketing experience.
  • •Certified as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) preferred.
  • •Demonstrated success developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners.
  • •Superior communication, analyzing/problem solving, and negotiation skills.
