Key Responsibilities

  • •Own key architectural decisions for Canva’s hybrid mobile platform across React Native, iOS, and Android, defining what is shared vs native and how layers work together.
  • •Turn the architecture into shipped code, establishing foundations for performance, reliability, and observability.
  • •Deliver a React Native production surface within six months, supported by stable capabilities and mobile platform primitives teams can build on.
  • •Serve as the architectural anchor for Staff and Senior engineers across Mobile Platform, helping navigate difficult technical decisions during migration.
  • •Scale adoption across Canva by partnering with major product teams, establishing trusted patterns and influencing mobile architecture decisions over time.
