Job Summary

Maintain and repair plant equipment throughout the facility while following Tyson safety culture, policies, and OSHA requirements. Monitor equipment during production, document corrections, rebuild equipment as needed, and assist with installation of new equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and blueprints, perform welding and minor electrical repairs, and handle tasks such as greasing, oil changes, and cleaning. Work closely with maintenance personnel and complete other assigned duties.

•Perform general maintenance throughout the plant while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
•Monitor equipment during production, make necessary repairs/adjustments, and document required corrections.
•Rebuild equipment as required and assist with installation of new equipment.
•Troubleshoot mechanical problems using detailed schematics and blueprints.
•Perform welding, cutting, minor electrical repair, and component replacements (e.g., motors, pumps, pipes) as assigned.

Salary: USD 22 - 31.45 hourly

Key Requirements

•Understand and comply with Tyson safety rules, including Lockout/Tagout, and follow OSHA standards.
•At least 1 year of industrial maintenance/mechanical experience, plus knowledge in welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, and plumbing.
•Able to read and understand assignments and communicate orally and in writing, including discussing issues with the Maintenance Supervisor.
•Must be able to hear/respond to two-way radio and understand information in maintenance manuals.
•Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting 50 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, and working in extreme conditions.
