Job Summary

Own day-to-day Purchase to Pay (PTP) activities within Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, and month-end close. Accurately process vendor invoices, credit/debit memos, statutory and intercompany payments, and handle payment selection/confirmation files and bank transactions. Reconcile vendor statements, clear aged payables, support SOX-compliant reporting, and drive continuous improvement and automation of PTP processes for global streamlining.

Key Responsibilities

•Process vendor invoices and supporting documents: scan/receive, validate documentation, attach to the AP system, and submit for payment in line with WPP policies and SOX/SOP requirements.
•Handle payments: generate/review payment selection and confirmation files, request amendments, transact payments to bank, and act as main contact for payment queries.
•Manage Travel & Expense claims: review receipts/tax/approvals, amend tax codes where required, process or reject claims with reasons, and submit payment files per the agreed timetable.
•Perform reconciliations and month-end close activities: reconcile vendor statements, handle intercompany postings, clear aged AP/net debit balance, and complete journal entries.
•Support process improvement and stakeholder alignment: drive global PTP initiatives, lead workshops/trainings as a PTP subject matter expert, and help coach junior team members.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Finance and Accounting (or related field) with relevant mix of qualification and experience.
•3-5 years of relevant experience in a shared service environment.
•Basic knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
•Knowledge of SOX compliance norms relating to the AP/payment process.
•Experience using an ERP system (added advantage).
