Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to identify qualified suppliers and build global CapEx sourcing strategy.
  • •Create RFQs, analyze quotations, clarify requirements with suppliers, and deliver sourcing recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead time, and technical considerations.
  • •Negotiate contracts covering equipment pricing, tooling, development, timing, spare parts, and payment terms.
  • •Manage supplier relationships and supplier development, including design changes, equipment timelines, prototype/production part availability, and mitigation of delays or issues.
  • •Serve as point of contact for commercial issues and provide internal report-outs summarizing sourcing status, availability, and cost status.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in technical, supply chain, or finance discipline, with 5–7 years of Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering experience (automotive preferred).
  • •Experience related to capital equipment or product assembly processes, including automotive assembly processes (powertrain assembly preferred).
  • •Product launch experience working with engineering/manufacturing/quality to develop proposals and support equipment build, testing, and installation.
  • •Understanding of manufacturing and quality principles.
  • •Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent), plus strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
