Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the primary liaison between Operations and Process Control to resolve control system issues with engineers, hardware specialists, and technologists.
  • •Monitor and report KPIs for alarm management, advanced process control (APC), and loop performance; proactively address issues and escalate when necessary.
  • •Provide technical expertise and training on control system modifications and advanced control applications; support APC utilization through performance monitoring and operational engagement.
  • •Troubleshoot and resolve control system faults, including loop tuning and diagnostics, and maintain DCS configurations and Aspen IP21 tag setups per Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
  • •Administer the master alarm database using Plant State Suite (PSS) and lead alarm rationalization; monitor DCS health, support lifecycle planning, and participate in FAT/SAT and unit turnarounds/startups.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED required.
  • •Typically 20 years of industry experience in a control systems or automation engineering role.
  • •Practical experience configuring/programming distributed control systems (DCS) such as Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell TPS/Experion, or similar platforms.
  • •Practical experience configuring/programming Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) such as Triconex, Honeywell, or similar platforms.
