Job Summary

Join a highly collaborative data team to make Alpaca data-driven from the ground up. Partner with Finance, Operations, and Compliance to build foundational data models, dashboards, and in-depth analyses. You’ll own analytics data models (SQL across PostgreSQL/Trino/Iceberg), surface metrics via Metabase, and use Python for deeper explorations to answer business questions.

•Translate business questions into analytical outputs by partnering with cross-functional teams.
•Build and own analytics data models to power metrics, dashboards, and workflows.
•Develop metrics and tables using dbt and surface via dashboards (Metabase).
•Explore data with SQL (and Python when helpful) to uncover trends, anomalies, and P&L insights.
•Help operationalize data by standardizing core entities and enabling self-serve reporting.
