Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage mechanical projects from inception to closeout and work independently on complex/high-value work.
  • •Perform HVAC design work, including air conditioning heat load and ventilation calculations in line with local and international standards.
  • •Apply BIM principles and use digital delivery systems (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud/Forma, Revit) to support project delivery and data governance.
  • •Lead and mentor teams of engineers and modellers, providing technical guidance, reviewing deliverables, and coordinating resources.
  • •Handle project scoping, tender documentation, cost control, BOQs, contractor/contract management, and provide site supervision with QA/QC.

Key Requirements

  • •B Eng/BSc/B Tech degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • •5+ years post-graduation working experience in building services.
  • •2+ years post-registration experience in the field of registration.
  • •Strong HVAC design capability, including heat load and ventilation calculations, plus knowledge of South African National Standards (SANS) and awareness of standards such as British Standards and ASHRAE.
  • •Professional registration is required (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng).
